Professional Tote – This extremely popular and handsome bag has several compartments and zippered
areas that make it useful for many needs. It will even hold a laptop. Some sewing experience is very

Allegro Table Runner – Make this lovely and easy table runner using Terry Atkinson's Allegro booklet.
Can be made with coordinated fabric or has a lovely scrappy look. You may abe inspired to make one of the
larger quilts included in the instructions. Sewing machine required.

The Bucket Bag – This very attractive and highly usable, large bag has become a favorite class here. It's a
fat quarter friendly bag and that can be made in a variety of sizes once you know the technique. Sewing

Baltimore Album Wall Hanging – Create you own four block wall hanging while learning the techniques
that make Baltimore Album quilts perennial favorites. Your experienced and talented instructor will show
you what looks incredibly difficult can be easily learned. No machine required. Instructor: Pat Pool

Cut-A-Round Club – The Tuesday evening sessions of this club are continuing this quarter. Use Cheryl
Phillip's Cut-A-Round ruler to create new projects every month. You must register in advance for each

Monthly Sessions / Tues. April 21 & June16 / 6:30 to 8:30pm Fee: $10 per session
Coiled Fabric Bowl – Bet you can't make just one! Learn how to make beautiful bowls, baskets, purses,
even placemats out of fabric and clothesline! Materials to make one small bowl are included in fee. Sewing

1 Session / Wed., May 6 / 12 to 3 pm Fee: $25
Fast Flying Geese – Think you know all about flying geese – think again! Learn quick and easy ways to
make and embellish them using Karin Hellaby's techniques. Make samples of Traditional, Nosy, Diamond, 3-
D and Curved Winged Geese as well as ideas on how to set them. Instructor: Pat Pool
1 Session / Wed. April 22 / 10 am to 12pm Fee: $20
Simple Tablerunner and placemats -- With just 6 fat quarters you can make the top for a tablerunner and
some coordinating placemats. You can whip up a quick table ensemble in a weekend. You will be using your
decorative stitches or machine quilting to hold your 3 layers together and before you know it you will be
done. Instructor: Niecey Lassiter-Vachon
1 Session / Sat., April 25 / 10:30 am to 3 pm Fee: $30
Window on the East – Using large scale Asian prints or panels, create a wall hanging that has the effect of
looking out a window on a beautiful scene. This will be an all day class to be sure you understand advance
mitering when you leave. Sewing machine required. Instructor: Dee Maier

Wearable Art UFO – Just can't seem to finish that beautiful jacket or vest you started? Our resident
wearable expert will get you started again and help you with your “quilter's block.” You will also get tips on
ways to embellish what you have gotten done so far. Instructor: Niecey Lassiter-Vachon

Handy Tote Bag – This is another fabulous bag whose size you can adjust by the size of your squares.
Make it for a handbag or for hauling quilts to meetings, the choice is up to you. Sewing machine required.

Quilted Wallet – Create a beautiful and functional wallet that meets your own needs using the “A Safe
Place” pattern. Everyone will want to know where you found it! Match it to a Bucket Bag or Handy Tote
Bag and you'll be the envy of your quilting friends! Sewing machine required.

Quilted Duffle Bag - This beautiful and useful bag is made from a pattern designed by Maria O'Haver
using foundation piecing methods. The New York Beauty block makes it a truly stunning carry-all. Sewing

2 Sessions / Wed., June 10 & 17 / 10am to 12pm Fee: $40
Embellishment Club -- We will be foiling on fabric this quarter. With some simple craft items, such as
rubber stamps and stencils, you will be making one of a kind of fabric. We will be using an iron adhesive
paste for foiling. Here is your chance to play and experience a new technique. Instructor: Niecey Lassiter-
Vachon
1 Sessions / Sat., June 20 / 10:30am to 1pm Fee: $10
Private instruction on the HQ16 quilting machine can be arranged by mutual convenience for $50 for a
1 ½ to 2 hour class; time on the machine can then be rented for $10 per hour. Call us for details.
You must pre-register and pre-pay for all classes. Cancel up to a week before the class date for a
refund; no refund with 6 days or less cancellation. Supply lists for classes are available at Main
Street Quilt Shop. Class sizes are limited, so sign up early. Receive a 10% discount for fabric,
notions and books purchased when signing up for a class or on the day of the class.
